Foaming systems
The use of foams in cleaning systems serves two main purposes. Firstly, the foamed cleaning agent will stick to surfaces for longer. This gives it more time to act on the residues that need to be broken down. Secondly, the presence of foam can assist operators in the effectiveness of cleaning as they offer a clear visual reminder of where the chemical has been applied.
The consistency of foams can vary greatly depending on the foaming agent being used and the amount mixed into the main water supply. Our systems help control this mix to give the desired consistency. The addition of compressed air into a foaming system gives an even greater degree of control over foam consistency allowing for very thick and long lasting foams to be generated.
We supply a range of innovative foaming systems manufactured by Lafferty Equipment who have been manufacturing high-quality foamers, sprayers, foggers and dilution control systems for over 35 years. Lafferty products are designed for demanding applications in the food processing, bottling, car/truck washing, agricultural, institutional and industrial sectors.
Air pump foamers
Air pumps are an effective way of boosting fluid pressure without the need for electrically powered pumps. They do not require mains water supply which makes them ideal for areas without access to a reliable water supply. They come in wall-mounted and mobile versions.

Airless foaming units
We supply a range of equipment which just need mains water pressure to operate. These include the Venturi mix foaming station which is a wall-mounted unit that automatically mixes the desired foaming agent and delivers it to any foaming gun. Foaming guns can also come supplied with a container of foaming agent attached, giving versatility around the factory or space being cleaned; and mobile foaming units.

Air assisted foamers
These systems use a mains water supply and compressed air to create thick foams. Wall mounted units are available along with a version for the foaming of conveyor systems and an Entry Way foaming system which lays down a regular layer of sanitising foam where there is potential for staff to spread contamination. The foam sticks to shoes, removing pathogens more effectively than traditional dip tank systems.

Conveyor foamers
Lafferty's Conveyor-Mate™ foamers can be used on conveyors up to 48" wide and can also be used as manual foamers.

Entryway foamers
These systems deliver a timed foam spray across an entryway. This then clings to the footwear of anyone passing through effectively removing pathogens and preventing contamination. The Entryway foamers are a smart alternative to disinfecting mats, fluid spray systems or mechanical cleaners.
