Safety showers
SNP provide high quality safety showers and eye baths through our sister company
Safety Shower People
.
When hazardous materials are being handled, used or processed the deployment of safety showers is required often by law. Failing to provide adequate safety equipment can expose any company to litigation so compliance with safety standards and regulations is a necessity for any business that handles such materials.
Safety shower equipment manufacture is itself governed by a variety of different standards to ensure quality and effectiveness in the event of use. FSP Tech have been manufacturing high quality safety shower equipment for nearly 20 years. Their safety units are deployed in chemical plants, warehouses and factories the world over protecting workers from hazardous substances and burns. SNP
(trading as The Safety Shower People) act as FSP Tech's UK distributor.
If the danger of large spillages is deemed to be low then eye baths/showers may be sufficient to protect workers. These units are designed to flush contaminants from the eyes and face in the event of contact.

- Complete face wash units
All units are manufactured to comply with ANSI Z358.1-200 4 and DIN EN 15154-2:2006 standards.
These body showers are plumbed in units that are wall mounted and designed to be used in lab environments or in manufacturing plants that are enclosed, heated buildings.
All units are manufactured to comply with DIN 12899-3:2009, DIN EN 15154-1:2006 and ANSI Z358.1-2004 standards.
These full body showers are plumbed in units that are ruggedly designed to be used in a wide variety of industrial workplaces. They can be deployed in warehouses, manufacturing plants or on quaysides or other outside situations.

The tank shower is a full body safety shower that has an integrated water storage tank. This tank means that the shower can operate independently of a plumbed in water supply meaning the tank can be deployed anywhere regardless of whether a water supply exists. A further advantage of tank showers is that they will operate even in the event that the water supply is disrupted. Some emergency situations, for example a large explosion, could damage water supplies at precisely the time the shower is needed.

Decontamination units are not necessarily used in emergency situations. The shower cubicles come with a variety of showering options that allow for all contaminants to be removed from the person entering.
