Nozzles for pollution control

Whilst pollution control covers many different industries it is a specialist engineering business in its own right.  Almost all manufacturing, power generation and food processing industries will require some form of pollution control.  Many pollution control systems require the spraying of fluids and SNP have always been at the vanguard of spray technology in this field.

In our increasingly environmentally aware world pollution control legislation is likely to tighten.  SNP sees this as a key growth business area for our spray nozzles and so we continue to innovate for and consult with pollution control engineers around the world.

Nozzles for gas scrubbing

This is the removal of contaminants from a gas flow by spraying a reacting fluid into the flue gas.  There are many designs of scrubber and these variants of design will require very different spray properties.  More details on effective nozzle selection for gas scrubbers can be found by clicking on the menu to the right hand side of this page.

Nozzles for dust suppression

Dust pollution is a common hazard in many manufacturing processes.  The use of fine sprays to capture dust once it is in the air or to prevent it from forming in the first place requires careful nozzle selection. Nozzles for foam control

Foam is a common pollutant that can be controlled by the application of a suitable spray.  The nozzles required will generally need to have some impact to knock back the foam but will also require a reasonable degree of atomisation so that the suppressing fluid can act upon the foam.  Notes on nozzle selection for foam suppression can be found by clicking on the menus to the right hand side of this page.

Nozzles for odour control

Unpleasant odours are a common form of pollution.  If situated near residential areas the problem is particularly acute as legislation may require that the problem is solved.  Sprays are a common method for the elimination of odours either by spraying a substance that masks the smell or captures and removes odour-causing particles.  Further details on nozzle selection for odour control can be found by clicking on the menu to the right hand side of this page.
